All’interno del ciclo di seminari rivolti ai docenti e ricercatori LIUC, programmati dal Prorettore per rendere meglio noti i temi presidiati in Università e dare modo a tutti i ricercatori di presentare i loro lavori con l’intento di costruire nuove collaborazioni di ricerca, l’Ing. Luca Cremona, Ricercatore della Scuola di Ingegneria Industriale della LIUC – Università Cattaneo, ha presentato il suo lavoro relativo a “Information Visualization: enacting Big Data”.
ABSTRACT
The seminar presents the first results of a research study on the Information and Data Visualization. The research carried out by Dr. Cremona aims at better understanding how organizations interpret data (i.e. Sensemaking), who is using them and to what extent (i.e. Decision making). A qualitative methodology has been selected with the aim to explore how organizations, from different industries, use Business Intelligence (BI)/Data Visualization (DV) tools. Interviews have been carried out to investigate how the decision making process has changed and which benefits and issues have emerged from the usage of BI/DV tools.
